Please share with your new troop leaders that Impeesa District is sponsoring an Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) right here in Wake County.

The course will consist of two one-day sessions on Saturday, Sept 15 and Saturday, Sept 22. The loc
ation is Soapstone United Methodist Church.

Skills taught will include first aid, hiking and packing, tent pitching, map and compass, plant ID, animal ID, ax yard, fire building and so much more.

The two one-day format is ideal for the leader with a young family who may have difficulty devoting one or two more nights away from home, or for the scouter who has religious obligations on Sunday morning that require him or her to be at home. The north Raleigh location is an easy drive, saving you travel time and expense.

Please see the attached course flyer for more information, and please share this with your troop.

Sincerely,
Ed Miller, Chairman
Occoneechee Council Advancement Committee
