Merit Badge College - Nov. 10, 2012 - Mawat District - Details + Call for Trainers

Our friends in Mawat District sponsor a Merit Badge College in conjunction with the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) fraternity at Duke University. Tom Beach has been leading this effort for several years. This year, they are looking to grow this ev
ent and to broaden its reach into all of Occoneechee Council. Specifically, they are looking for instructors who would like to teach a class of up to 15 scouts. So far, the teaching commitments for 2012 are:

Automotive Maintenance: Ross Haswell and Rew Wilson
Citizenship in the Community: Keith Burns
Citizenship in the World: Gerardo Hurtado
Emergency Preparedness: Mike Shifflet is checking his calendar
Mark Sikora has Volunteered to teach a class

Larry Lloyd will be offering Scoutmaster specific training

Elaina and Avery will be teaching LNT this will be targeted at youth and Venture Crews will be more than welcome. Adults are welcome to audit. (Course completion materials are $5).

The planned date for this year’s event is Saturday, November 10, 2012. This will have to be confirmed with the representatives from APO .
