Raleigh St. Patrick's Day - March 16

WHAT:  Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade - Downtown - March 16.
 - Occoneechee Council has registered to march as a group in the parade

WHO:  All Scouting Units are welcome to attend: Packs, Troops, Crews, Ship, Team

Please bring along your unit banner. You can also pull a wagon.
Parents of Cub Scouts are expected to march with the group.

If you want to hand out Scouting Pencils, flyers, and other recruitment items - Please do!

NOTE: We are asked to not throw any items (candy, etc.) but we can hand out promotional items.

WHAT TO WEAR: Scouts and Scouters should wear their Uniforms.
Parents and siblings are encouraged to wear scouting themed shirts - Unit Shirt, etc.

WHEN AND WHERE: The group will meet in the staging area, located between Cabarrus St. and Lenoir St. as shown on this map.

Assembly starts at 10am, the Parade starts at noon. Please try to arrive by 11am at the latest.

NOTE that the assembly area, and surrounding parking will get more crowded as the morning goes on.
Look for our group.. We will assemble somewhere within the block..

WHO IS COORDINATING FROM THE COUNCIL: Kevin Parker and Bill Bourbonnais will be coordinating the day-of activities.

REGISTRATION: If your unit is going to attend, please send an email to Kevin and Bill to let them know.

Include your Unit Type, Unit #, Unit Contact, and approximate number of scouts + other participants.

NOTE: The council is already registered to march in the parade. Your unit does not need to individually register.

Kevin and Bill will be communicating any final information the week of the event for all units that register.
